We registered a special forum for advance games http://norival.ucoz.net/forum
( currently in russian but we will add an english version in some days)
On the Rybka forum we agreed it would be interesting to play such a match, but thought that we would like to play this match in corporation with the Hiarcs team.
Anyway you are hereby invited to take part in the match with a team that include at least five Russian GMs, and some strong advanced chess player that have access to at least one 16 core engine.
Please send me a pm if you are interested in supporting the combined Hiarcs/Rybka team.

i would suggest players print off this post,or else make a note of time zones.
how can one particpate?
PM Soren
okay, i'm confused :-p is EST -7 Moscow Time?
i think that is right.
that is EST +7 = Moscow time of course :-)
example 1300 moscow would be 0600 New York.
correctamundo :-)
about time i got something right.
A combined Rybka/Hiarcs team? In Rybka forum, it´s fraternize with the enemy. Punishment would be loss (of life).
Okay, these are the old reflexes. :-)

I sticked once more. Look like someone by mistake unstuck it :-(
I think Vas' bug-treads should appear before this tread but I am not sure how to do this. Maybe this is why it was unstuck.

I made it unstuck since there were too many sticky threads. Maybe making this thread unsticky was a mistake ;:)
Maybe the book thread could be unstickied and a link to it added into the release notes thread (or the FAQ).
Also, the WCCC is old news. A link in a FAQ entry should be enough.

ok, you're right :)
But I think the book and the Rybka 3 information should be separated, so I added a link to the release notes to the Rybka 3 FAQ and made the release notes unsticky...

Who is playing which color in this game ?

>Who is playing which color in this game ?
I wondered the same, and found it at one point:
3)The Gladiators have Black
Of course, I then (at first) thought the Hiarcs/Rybka squad to have chosen "Gladiators" as their nickname...
The name for the Hiarcs/Rybka team is "Icy Shark Bar", an anagram for "Hiarcs/Rybka."
So cool! :-)
hey i asked you to take over this not me.

Hey, life gets in the way :)
thats why i asked you.regards Paul.i hope when i make a little comment after a move it does not give anything away.when the game moves into dangerous territory you must take my comments with a grain of salt.

This general site member hopes they will. Hehe.
I hope we will not get this drawish Marshall's gambit ...
Drawish?
According to the Rybka 3 general book for chessbase (which is based on games at a pretty high level), the "normal" 8...d6 draws 58%, while the Marshall draws 60%, so I guess it is marginally more drawish. But I've seen quite a few losses by Black in high level games in the last year or so.
I bet with both players are > 2650, he rate of draws is even more higher ...
